Nyckelharpa

Here is brief information about some of my instruments.

Tenornyckelharpan
This instrument is larger than the ordinary nyckelharpa. It has 70 keys in four key rows and is tuned one octave lower than the fiddle. It’s design design is inspired by several Baroque instruments and has other tonal characteristics compared to the conventional nyckelharpa. I have developed this instrument in close collaboration with luthier Peder Källman. Click on the image to read my article on how the tenor nyckelharpa was created, and the thoughts behind it.
