Ida Meidell Blylod and Johan Hedin first met during EBU live broadcast concert Aurora Bachealis arranged by Stockholm Early Music Festival for REMA:s European Day of Early Music in 2015. As a duo, they premiered in the summer of 2019 at the Korrö Folk Music Festival in Sweden with a concert that was acclaimed for it’s distinctive sound and personal interpretation of Swedish traditional music and it’s connection to baroque music. They enjoy making music together and thrive off each others musical backgrounds, both being part of a living tradition where a musician is also an arranger and composer, as well as interpreting old music. On March 12 at 20:03, Deutschlandfunk Kultur broadcasts a live concert with Hazelius Hedin. The recording is from the first of four concerts the duo made in Germany in January 2018. The concert will also be available for streaming from March 12 on this link. In January we had such a lovely tour in four cities and venues in Germany. We’ll be back in Germany – I’m sure!
